I was only able to use a few tidbits from the interview in the story I turned in, which is the curse of being a journalist who's interested in everything. The stories you get to read in magazines contain a fraction of what I actually learned in the course of reporting the story, and often, in my mind, it's the least interesting fraction that actually appears in print. |
