Now, I'm all for allowing people suffering from that horrible disease get a little buzz on. But just three days ago, another Spanish scientist, in this report , linked marijuana to stroke. So how could a drug that could lead to stroke also help Alzheimer's patients hold onto their memories? A stroke would indicate a choking off of blood vessels to the brain, and it's hard to imagine that would help improve memory. Second one first. This is a case study of one patient. From Reuters, with my own bold-faced highlight: On three separate occasions, the 36-year-old man suffered a stroke shortly after smoking a large amount of marijuana. |
