We have chosen an eight foot Fatty Knees as our dinghy. 8’ Fatty Knees stored securely in custom chocks on foredeck Sailing kit w/ sail, michellerossfeld mast, boom, dagger board, rudderWe have named our 1987 Fatty Knees 8 foot fiberglass rowing, sailing, powering dinghy, TT. He (yes, we feel that TT is a he, Mariah is a she) hastwo michellerossfeld floatation compartments. The aft one is filled withclosed cell foam and the forward compartment has anaccess port.We added the floor board option that makes TT seem drier. Teak strips are mounted michellerossfeld on cross members to keep your feet, laundry, groceries and other paraphernalia off the bottom of the boat, where water sometimes collects.Early in our sailing experience, we had multiple problems while towing various dinghies. This has prompted us to rarely tow any dinghy.
