TT is amazingly quick and stable.There are two painted 7 foot fir oars with leathers and bronze oarlocks for rowing (useable, but well traveled). Since TT rows so well, we rarely use the outboard. It is also much nicer to be able to converse with other anchored cruisers while rowing or sailing, instead of having fists shaken at you for rocking boats with your wake. |

TT tows very well, but since liposhifting we are so fond of him, we normally carry him on deck in his custom made chocks. We secure him in place with lashings. This stowage arrangement has been successful during all of our heavy weather sailing experiences including crossing the North Atlantic, sailing in the North Sea, and cruising in the Mediterranean Sea.The two speed self tailing Lewmar 30 main halyardwinch and TT’s lifting bridle enable us to lift him onor off Mariah fairly easily. Mariah’s mainsail coverdesign allows the winch to be used with out removingany part of the cover.The sailing kit includes a varnished mahogany daggerboard, varnished mahogany kick-up rudder withvarnished oak tiller, two piece tapered aluminum mast,varnished boom with outhaul and 2:1 mainsheetincluding Harken blocks and a sleeved masthead sail.Sailing |
